Why AnchorPoint?

The anchor point in archery is defined as a consistent point on the archer’s face or body that is used to aim and release the arrow accurately. It is an essential part of the shooting process because it facilitates consistent shooting, ensuring the arrow is released from the same position every time.

During the 2024 Olympics, the name AnchorPoint clicked for me when watching a young woman from Korea dominate the competition. The unbelievable determination in her focus and consistency of her process was awe-inspiring for any archer. At AnchorPoint, we strive for the same accuracy with your needs. I started my career in sales and sales leadership in industrial distribution. After ten great years of involvement in some of the coolest manufacturing plants across the US, I changed my focus to technology. Along with a few fantastic partners, I founded a Minnesota-based technology company. We started that journey as technology matchmakers, focusing on finding great talent for our customers.

As the business matured, we saw an opportunity to help our customers in more meaningful ways. We transitioned our company into a business and technology consulting firm specializing in data and integration. Over the next several years, we added digital experience, security, machine learning, and AI capabilities. Each step of the way we focused on the people, because that’s how things get done.

I’ve always had a passion for finding good humans who are smart, analytical, and do the right thing. Finding the right “skillset” or “tools” was always secondary to the human traits that can’t be taught. The right person can learn anything necessary to get the job done.

I’ve been in the business world for over 30 years, and the most valuable asset I can offer my customers are the learnings from mistakes I’ve made. In my career, I’ve been a salesperson, a recruiter, and a leader. I’ve started, run, and sold a company. I’ve acquired and integrated several companies. Each of these experiences came with mistakes, and I’d like to think I’ve learned from them. What excites me most about this adventure is the ability to put those 30+ years of lessons to work for you.

Carissa Rollins, Managing Partner

With over three decades of technology leadership experience, including serving as CIO at UnitedHealthcare and Illumina, I've led IT organizations through complex transformations. My track record spans global digital modernization, enterprise AI governance, workforce evolution--always with a sharp focus on aligning IT investments to business value. In my most recent role as CIO of Illumina, I authored and executed the first-ever IT strategy directly aligned to the company's corporate strategy, helping position the organization for sustainable growth and innovation.

Throughout my career, I've been trusted by CEO's, boards, and executive teams to turn technology into a catalyst for measurable business impact. I've built high-performing teams, restructured IT governance, and integrated compliance into agile environments without slowing innovation. From capital investment prioritization to modernizing legacy systems to scaling global talent offshore, I've lived the full CIO lifecycle--and understand firsthand where CIO's get stuck and what it takes to elevate their strategic influence.

I am working with AnchorPoint because I know technology leaders are uniquely positioned to lead enterprise transformation, but too often are consumed by operational noise. My coaching framework is grounded in proven playbooks and deep real-world insight, not theory.
